We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our service
• Display your content to other users
• Send notifications about activity on your posts
• Prevent abuse and enforce our terms
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the app

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• When you post content publicly on the platform
• With service providers who help us operate the app
• When required by law or to protect rights and safety

4. Your Privacy Choices

You can:

• Post anonymously on individual situations
• Edit or delete your profile information
• Delete your posts and comments
• Delete your entire account

5. Anonymous Posting

When you post anonymously, your username and profile picture are not displayed publicly. However, we still store this information internally for moderation purposes and to prevent abuse.

6. Friends List & Connections

When you send or accept a friend request, we store the connection between the two accounts (who sent it, who received it, and its status) so both of you can use the Friends feed and direct messages.

• We send a confirmation email to the other person when a request is sent and when it is accepted. That email contains only the sender's display name.
• Once you are friends, the public situations you post can appear in each other's Friends feed. Friendship does not reveal private posts, your email address, or your account settings.
• You can remove a friend at any time, which deletes the connection and stops the feed sharing.

7. Sharing Posts With Friends

When you send a post to a friend, we store the message and the link to that post so it can be delivered in your conversation. Anyone who receives a post link can open the post if it is public. We do not share the content of your direct messages with advertisers, and we do not use message content to train AI models.

8. Ask Bail & Verdict Generation

Ask Bail sends the situation you type to our AI provider to generate a humorous verdict. To operate the feature responsibly we also:

• Store a short excerpt of the situation (up to 160 characters) along with the verdict it produced, so we can count daily usage, enforce fair-use limits, and improve the feature.
• Keep an anonymised copy of the situation in our situation library. Library entries are never published with your name or account attached, and new entries stay hidden until a moderator approves them.
• Never use verdict data to profile you, sell to third parties, or make decisions with legal or financial consequences. Verdicts are entertainment, not advice.

If you want an Ask Bail entry removed from our library, contact privacy@bailbuddhi.com and we will delete it.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is 100% secure.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where required by law.

11. Age Requirement & Children's Privacy

Bail Buddhi is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, in compliance with applicable Indian laws. By using our service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

12. International Users

Our service is hosted globally. By using Bail Buddhi, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your residence.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or email.
